Packaging line for the production and packaging of wet wipes, such as hygiene wipes, cleaning wipes, care wipes, and disinfectant wipes. The line consists of a wet wipe production unit and a flow wrap packaging unit. Wet wipe production process: unwinding of nonwoven material from two parent rolls and longitudinal cutting into five lanes per roll (up to the wetting stage) for high-speed production, longitudinal folding in Z- or C-fold (change of folding tool required), adjustable folding width per side, wetting via multiple spray nozzles, cross cutting (to preset wipe length), stacking, and transfer to the packaging unit. The flow wrap packaging unit handles feeding of the wet wipes, film feeding and printing (hot-stamp printing), punch hole (wipe access), placement of resealable label and, for example, a sealing label (the integrated dual-lane labeler enables offset labeling), pouch cutting/heat sealing. The liquid supply system for wetting the wipes consists of two tanks with continuously mixing agitators and a liquid recirculation unit. - Specifications: suitable for dry nonwovens (spunlace or similar); fold: Z or C fold (requires changing folding tools); folding width per side adjustable; dimensions of folded wipes: L(120-220)xW(90-110)mm; dimensions of unfolded wipes: L(120-220)xW(150-220)mm; number of wipes per pack (min. to max.): 30-120 wipes; wet wipe basis weight: 40-80g/m²; machine cycle rate (idle): max. 5,600 wipes/min or max. 60 packs/min; pouch size: depends on folding dimensions and number of wipes per pack; film reel dimensions: width max. 360mm, diameter max. 400mm; suitable films: OPP film (clear, printed, or laminated); parent roll nonwoven dimensions: width 800-1320mm, diameter max. 1,200mm; label roll dimensions: width max. 60mm, diameter max. 300mm; tank dimensions for liquid: 900x900x1900mm; packaging line dimensions: L13,998xW5,404xH2,350mm; total weight: approx. 10,600kg; power: 19kW, 380V, 3-phase.
