Areva Teleperm XS Control Cabinet

Standard Cabinet Design
For the installation of Teleperm XS systems, control cabinets of type SC 9422 (2200 x 900 x 400 mm depth), protection class IP30, are typically used.
The cabinet is equipped with cable strain relief devices and shielded busbars.
The cabinet is designed for seismic loads.
Cable entry and power supply generally occur from the bottom.
In the standard cabinet, module racks are mounted in the central section. To the left and right of these are areas for installing cabinet connection elements and transceivers.
Terminal blocks are used for connecting peripheral cables. Other connection techniques, such as Maxi-Termi-Point, are also possible. Field cables should be shielded with twisted pairs.
Buses are realized within a cabinet using conventional cables and, externally, with fiber optic cables.
Teleperm XS is suitable for installations with both extensive grounding and central grounding systems (ZEP).

Module Racks
Various configurations of module racks are used depending on the requirements. The basic design features a module rack with a continuous rear bus and 21 slots. If large signal volumes need to be processed, expansion module racks can be connected.
Variants supported include:
- Split module racks with two smaller, independent CPUs (each with 10 slots, each with their own fans and power supply)
- Mixed configurations, such as the compact integration of a CPU with its associated signal conditioning modules
