Areva Teleperm XS Control Cabinet

Teleperm XS systems are typically installed in control cabinets of type SC 9422 (2200 x 900 x 400 mm depth), protection class IP30.
The cabinet is equipped with cable strain relief devices with shield rails.
It is designed for seismic loads.
Cabling and power supply are generally routed from below.
Module racks are mounted in the central section of the standard cabinet.
Areas to the left and right are reserved for the installation of cabinet interface elements and transceivers.
Terminal blocks are used for connecting peripheral cables.
Alternative connection technologies, such as Maxi-Termi-Point, are also possible.
Field cables should be shielded with pairwise twisted conductors.
Bus systems are implemented using conventional cables within a cabinet, and fiber optic cables outside the cabinet.

Teleperm XS is suitable for systems with area-wide grounding as well as for those with central grounding (ZEP).

Module Racks
Depending on the application, various configurations of module racks are used.
The basic version has a continuous backplane bus and provides 21 slots.
If larger numbers of signals need to be processed, extension module racks can be connected.

Variants supported include:
- Split module racks with two smaller, independent processors (each with 10 slots, its own fans and power supply)
- Mixed configurations, such as the compact grouping of a processor with its associated signal conditioning modules
