BDK S-1200 Laminar-Flow Safety Workbench

Operating Principle

The safety workbench is a laboratory device designed to create a largely turbulence-free (laminar) displacement airflow in the working area.

The air passing through the work area, as well as the exhaust air, is purified by high-performance particulate air filters in each case.

Scope of Delivery and Features

- Model Versions
The safety workbench is manufactured in three different sizes: BDK-S 1200, 1500, and 1800.

- Airflow Monitoring
The air speed in the recirculation area (downflow work area) and exhaust area (inflow/exhaust air) is monitored by flow sensors. Any disruptions are indicated by a warning light and audible alarm.

- Viewing Screen Monitoring
The viewing screen, made of laminated safety glass, features counterbalancing for smooth, stepless manual adjustment. If the screen is not in the working position (opening larger than 190 mm), this is indicated on the display and with an audible alarm.

- Control Panel
All necessary control elements, membrane keyboard, audible alarm, indicator lights, and the display for the operating status are arranged on the control panel.

- Microprocessor Control
The microprocessor control system is self-monitoring and continuously displays the airflow velocity.

- Device Depth < 800 mm (840 mm)
Thanks to the compact depth, the safety workbench fits through all standard laboratory doors.
