The system begins by trimming the front edge of the cardboard to remove any potential transport damage. Following this, a minimum 30 mm edge trim is performed on both sides. Additionally, if necessary, a corner of the cardboard is removed, which varies depending on the Fefco type. Finally, the cardboard is creased along the folding lines and conveyed out of the machine.

The waste produced during processing is conveyed out of the machine via a waste belt located underneath. At the machine outlet, a conveyor belt disposes of the waste into a collection container. If the edge trim is too long, it must be cut within the system to ensure smooth removal from the unit.

The cut sections and products are transported to the folding table, where the cartons are erected and filled. In the Box Closing Unit, the cartons are closed, labelled, and discharged from the system.
