The FINIX 500 is a finishing system for flexo photopolymer plates up to 500 x 800 mm (approx. 19" x 31"). This finishing unit features an exposure section with UV lamps and a fully stainless steel pull-out tray, which enables standard post-exposure processing, including pre-exposure, exposure, washout, and drying, commonly performed with FLEXO unit 3 or 5.

Once the standard process is complete, the flexographic plate is usually dry to the touch but remains sticky, requiring additional post-exposure to achieve the desired rigidity. The FINIX 500 eliminates tackiness while imparting the required stiffness, making the plate durable and resistant to abrasion and mechanical stress by exposing it to the appropriate light sources.

Exposure is carried out using two types of lamps that emit ultraviolet radiation at different spectra, each exerting a specific effect on the plate. Special germicidal lamps eliminate tackiness, while UV lamps provide complete post-exposure processing, resulting in a tougher plate.

The exposure time for each type of lamp can be set independently, allowing for simultaneous or separate exposures with different durations. Each type of lighting is controlled by its own digital controller with a digital display.

FINIX is also available as a 120-plate model for sizes up to 35" x 47" (900 x 1200 mm).
