Since 2021, in our possession for customer print jobs, product demonstrations, and trade show appearances. Fully operational, supplied by IGO3D, an official Desktop Metal partner.
Can be inspected in Hanover (remote video demonstrations available on request).

The Desktop Metal Studio System 2 printer was designed from the ground up for easy installation and operation. Its process is similar to the safest and most widely used 3D printing method: Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF). Unlike laser-based systems that selectively melt metal powder, the Studio System 2 extrudes bound metal rods, eliminating many of the challenges associated with metal 3D printing and enabling new features such as gyroid infill for lightweight strength.
