GRAFS CG

The GRAFS CG series grinder is designed for sharpening knives primarily used in the woodworking and recycling industries. The machine is available with two lengths of electromagnetic tables: 1000 mm and 1500 mm (depending on the order specification).

The grinder features a range of enhancements that ensure high-quality sharpening results over many years of use. It is equipped with a rotary electromagnetic chuck and additionally allows for clamping knives using special clamps on the opposite side of the table. The angular adjustment range is +-120 degrees. Proper cooling of the sharpened surfaces is provided by a cooling system with a tank and a magnetic coolant separator with a rotary drum – model MS60. The filter and tank are integrated inside the machine, minimizing the overall footprint required. Our design allows the machine to be installed in confined spaces, providing high convenience.

The grinder’s motor is rated at 4 kW as standard. A special mounting holder developed by our company makes it quick and easy to remove and mount the grinding wheel using only three securing bolts.

The carriage is equipped with premium quality rolling bearings (PWTR), ensuring quiet and smooth operation. The carriage moves along hardened steel rails.

Furthermore, the grinder comes standard with a carriage speed control system (potentiometer and frequency inverter).

The machine is ideally suited for sharpening knives where high rigidity is required, such as chipper knives, granulator knives, and planer knives.

Standard features of the GRAFS CG machine:
- Easy grinding wheel advancement with a handwheel (mechanical feed as an additional option)
- Simplified grinding wheel assembly (a special holder developed by our company allows for quick installation using three clamp bolts)
- Efficient grinding of both soft steels and high-hardness grades such as NC11LV, HSS, or sintered carbides (WIDIA)
- Integrated internal coolant tank with pump (standard)
- Rigid and robust, vibration-free construction: welded frame from 10 mm thick plate with reinforcement, carriage and table made from 20 mm thick steel plates
- 4 kW grinding motor (with special reinforced spindle bearings eliminating axial play)
- Powerful electromagnetic chuck: 1000 mm or 1500 mm length
- Table with T-slot for knife clamping (e.g., for clamping up to 4 knives simultaneously)
- Capability of fitting any grinding wheel (CBN, DIA, Segment type) – diameter 175 to 200 mm
- Smooth carriage travel speed control from 1 to 12 m/min via potentiometer

The CG grinder is 100% Polish-made using exclusively European components. The machine is supplied with all required electrical certifications, a Polish-language manual, and a declaration of conformity.
