Hartford HCMC 1682 – Heidenhain TNC640, used – year of manufacture 2021 – low running hours!

Hartford vertical CNC machining center equipped with a Heidenhain TNC640 control system, large-sized precision flat guides on the X, Y, and Z axes, a traversable clamping table, and a powerful main spindle with SK50 tool holder. Features a closed cooling circuit for the spindle and an automatic two-stage gearbox; spindle speed range n = 10–6,000 rpm, Pmax = 38 kW, Mmax = 979 Nm. Includes a 32-tool magazine with rapid-change arm and an ergonomically designed workspace enclosure featuring electronically monitored front sliding doors with viewing windows. Tool magazine can also be loaded/unloaded from the rear.

Nozzles are installed on the spindle nose of the vertical slide for external coolant supply. Coolant returns via transverse and longitudinal conveyors into the coolant tank, and, as required (M-function or control panel switch), is pumped from the tank through the nozzles. Mechanical strainers are provided in the coolant tank for coolant filtration.
Optional:
A high-pressure pump with a simple filtration system is provided for internal coolant supply (IKZ). Once IKZ is activated, coolant is pumped from the tank through the high-pressure pump and filtration system.

This machine was used for a single contract only. Since that project is no longer ongoing, the machine is now surplus.
It is a robust machine with high spindle power—ideal for heavy-duty machining.
