The models of the HYFRA Gamma series are designed as immersion chillers for cooling water, oil, and emulsions. The plug-and-play immersion chillers are installation-ready and can be used with a footprint as small as 0.5 m². This makes them highly suitable for integration into various machine layouts.

Capacities of up to 28 kW are possible thanks to the compact design on only 0.5 m² of floor space. As a result, there are significant flexibility advantages when planning the production floor layout and a noticeable increase in productivity, as more manufacturing machines can be accommodated. In the compact models of our immersion chillers, the condenser is installed horizontally. This design ensures the chillers generate significantly less waste heat. Internal components thus remain unaffected by the heat.

A robust agitator ensures a uniform medium temperature in the lubricant tank in all models of the series. For scheduled cleaning, the HYFRA Gamma series can be easily lifted out of the tank using fixed crane lugs.

Immersion chiller: Powerful cooling directly at the application

How does an immersion chiller work?

With immersion chillers, the evaporator of the chiller is submerged directly in the cooling medium. The liquid is contained in a tank and is kept in continuous, vigorous motion to ensure efficient cooling. High-performance agitators assist with this process.

What applications are immersion chillers suitable for?

Immersion chillers are frequently used for temperature control of cooling lubricants in filtration and mechanical engineering to ensure the performance of connected equipment. They are also used in metalworking for indirect cooling of tools and workpieces, such as during milling and grinding with CNC machines or conventional machine tools.

Immersion chillers with modern controls and comprehensive equipment

Depending on the required cooling capacity, HYFRA Gamma immersion chiller models are equipped with either FreeSmart or FreeAdvanced controllers. The combination of the FreeAdvanced controller and a touch panel provides a structured overview and easy reading of all relevant values. Both controllers are freely programmable and feature multiple digital and analog inputs and outputs. The FreeAdvanced controller additionally comes with a full-text display and supports Modbus-TCP.
