Deskripsi
The classic with historic registration!
_____
Secure yourself one of the most beautiful Jaguar Mark V Drophead Coupés currently available on the market!
The Mark V model is justifiably considered one of the most attractive convertibles of the 1940s/50s and can be ranked among the most exclusive vehicles of its era. It was produced only from 1948 to 1951 in very limited numbers.
Only 971 of these fantastic cars were built, and just 577 were left-hand drive – perhaps only 50-80 left-hand drive examples worldwide remain in passable condition.
How many of these jewels have ultimately survived to this day is uncertain; the vehicle is virtually unavailable across Europe!
A strong appreciation in value is therefore guaranteed; even in the USA, only a handful of these cars can still be found on the market.
This car was sold to the USA after production in 1950, and was registered only once in California. In the early 1990s, the car was brought back to Europe.
There, it was completely disassembled over several years of meticulous work, and restored piece by piece to a truly top condition. Here, all necessary work was carried out without regard to costs, ensuring the car became a visual and technical highlight.
The Jaguar was fully stripped, and both the body and interior, as well as the electrical system, were overhauled or replaced with original spare parts. During this process, a complete repaint inside and out was carried out, changing the color from Lavender Grey to black—also an original Jaguar color, which suits the vehicle much better. The seats were newly upholstered and covered in new red leather, the carpets were entirely replaced, and all woodwork was refurbished.
In 2012/2013 the mechanicals were extensively overhauled again, with the drivetrain fully rebuilt and various wear parts replaced. Additionally, all the necessary work for the historic registration (H-Zulassung) was completed in 2013. Over €18,000 worth of work was carried out in this period, with invoices available.
All external components are in excellent condition, and all functions operate flawlessly. The car is absolutely rust-free and received comprehensive corrosion protection during the restoration work. After restoration, the vehicle was stored in a climate-controlled garage and has subsequently covered only 290 miles during occasional movements and technical inspections (TÜV).
All documentation comes with the vehicle, as well as comprehensive photographic records of the restoration. A current appraisal is available, as are the registration documents and a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust birth certificate.
Also included is a detailed Classic Data appraisal by TÜV Süd, with an estimated value of €135,000 and an overall condition grade of 1!
Comparable vehicles are currently listed on Car & Classic for up to £160,000!
