Process steps
1) Product take-over: Tubes are accepted from an upstream tube filling machine.
2) Transport: A conveyor system transports the tubes to a stepped buffer and pushes them into the product compartment of the indexed feed belt.
3) Insertion: The feed belt conveys the tubes into the cartoner.
4) Leaflet: Tube and leaflet are inserted together.
5) Leaflet format: Leaflet is U-folded and wrapped around the tube.
Work stations within the cartoner
Station 1: Removal of the carton from the magazine and erecting it in the format chain, folding of the rear side flaps.
Station 2: Insertion of the product and leaflet into the carton.
Station 3: Folding of the front side flaps and blind embossing of the rear flap.
Station 4: Carton closure.
Station 5: Removal of the carton from the indexing wheel.
Station 6: Idle station for format cassette changeover.
Process steps after the cartoner
Conveyor system: Cartons are conveyed out of the machine by a side-grip conveyor system.
Transport: The cartons are transferred by a pneumatic pusher onto a flat conveyor belt (200 mm wide).
