The Kolbus KM 470 is a robust perfect binder designed for professional bookbinding operations. The machine features a comprehensive gathering system, specifically a ZU gathering machine with 18 stations and a manual feed station, enabling efficient collation of book blocks. The KM 470 binder itself is equipped with 25 clamps, ensuring secure handling of the book blocks during the binding process. It comes with a milling station for precise spine preparation, followed by hotmelt spine and side gluing units for a strong and durable bind. The Stream Cover Feeder automates cover application, while the clamping and pressing station guarantees a tight, professional finish. The machine is also equipped with a delivery unit to facilitate smooth transfer of book blocks but does not have any drying belts. The Kolbus OMG stacker arranges the finished products for easy handling. This system, manufactured in 1992, is currently in operation at a print shop in Germany and can process book blocks up to a size of 310 x 390 x 60 mm.
