For the construction of the machine, an unused base frame of a hydraulically operated URS 1000, along with unused cast components, was utilised.

The machine offered, URS 1000 CNC, has been equipped with 2-axis ball screw drives, axis drive motors, and a PLC control system. User-friendly Siemens PLC S7-1200 is used as the control unit.

The entire machine features a partial enclosure for safe and effective operation.

With the Siemens PLC S7, multiple diameters can easily be programmed and ground. Furthermore, the machine is suitable for the following operations: longitudinal grinding, plunge grinding, incremental plunge grinding, automatic dressing, and dressing compensation.
Up to 30 individual programs can be saved and 10 individual programs (10 diameters) can be linked in a single cycle.
The operator can interrupt the cycle at any time to measure the workpiece, enter a compensation value, and finish grind the remainder to final size.

The control system is very easy to operate!

The manufacture of contours, radii, and ellipses is not possible with this control.
