ZEMAN CZS LINE – SPECIFICATIONS
The fully automatic 'PURLIN' line, ZEMAN’s flagship product, is designed for the production of open, cold-formed profiles such as C, Z, and Sigma profiles in various widths and shapes. This is made possible by the fully automatic adjustment of the profile rollers. The machine can process coils with widths of up to 750 mm and sheet thicknesses from 1.25 mm to 3 mm, in steel grade S-390 and below. It is engineered for producing components up to 15 meters in length. The width of the specially hardened profile rollers can be continuously adjusted via special software. An integrated punching unit produces all types of fastening holes. The entire process is continuous, meaning the material does not stop for individual operations such as punching or cross-cutting. For high production efficiency, the line speed is dynamically optimized, with automatic braking and acceleration requiring no operator intervention.
A decoiler with a maximum load capacity of 15 tons is mounted on a trolley and enables precise centering of the material strip before feeding it into the straightening machine.
The straightening machine, together with a bow straightening system, ensures the required flatness of the sheet and reduces bow deformation on the conveyor belt.
2. Punching Area
This section features five double, 'flying' punching portals equipped with 20 small (up to 40 mm) or 10 large (up to 100 mm) tools (punches and dies) for creating fastening holes. Tool combinations are also possible.
3. Pre-cutting Shear
A 'flying' shear is used to pre-cut holes for the main cutting shear. This process ensures material continuity and results in more precise profile shapes, especially at the beginning and end. It is an adaptive guillotine that adjusts the cutting width for the holes to match the strip width.
4. Guide Carriage/SIGMA Modules
The guide carriage centers the strip before it enters the roll forming machine. It can be interchanged with a module for Sigma profile production. For manufacturing S+ profiles, the guide carriage is removed and two Sigma modules are installed. These modules position themselves fully automatically and independently on the left and right sides.
6. Rotary Cut-Off Saw
The rotary cut-off saw with hook blades separates the finished profile from the strip. The holes created by the pre-cutting shear are used for this. It is a 'flying' cut-off saw, allowing the sheet to remain in motion during cutting. Depending on the desired profile, the corresponding cutting cassette is used.
7. Receiving Table
The receiving table is used for the automatic discharge of the finished profiles from the roller conveyor. The elements are then manually bundled together into a package. The design allows for easy bundling. The table is dimensioned for profiles up to 15 meters long and provides access for a forklift or overhead crane to remove the profile bundle.
