Bluhm Weber Legi-Air 4050S Labelling Machine

4.14.1 Basic Structure

The system is designed as a closed aluminium profile frame and features a very compact construction.
The control cabinets are integrated into the lower section of the frame.
The main valve assembly is mounted behind a service door below the control panel.

The system includes four workstation stops.
Operation is via a touchscreen.
The control panel is mounted on the right side of the frame.
A Bluhm Weber labelling system is used at the station; for this, please refer to the documentation from Bluhm.

4.14.2 Process Workflow

- Incoming workpiece carriers with IO modules are stopped, lifted (positioned), and electrically contacted at substations 10.1 and 10.2.
- At substation 10.3, automatic labelling of the IO modules is performed. Label generation and content, as well as application to the devices, are fully automated.
- After labelling, the module is finalised at station 10.4—stopped, lifted, and contacted. Upon finalisation, the workpiece carrier is automatically ejected from the station.

Motor-driven large-roll unwinder
Label rolls with a maximum diameter of 430 mm and up to 900 linear metres of label web ensure long, continuous production times.
Tandem operation guarantees uninterrupted production.

Applicator
Quickly exchangeable applicator pads enable processing of label sizes from small type plates up to large A5 size EAN128 shipping labels.
The Quick-Change option allows format changes within seconds.
Spring-mounted applicator pads compensate for irregularities in product surfaces, ensuring clean label application.
