The HYFRA Gamma series models are immersion chillers designed for cooling water, oil, and emulsions. The plug-and-play immersion chillers are ready for installation and can be used with a footprint starting from just 0.5 m². This makes them ideal for integration into diverse machine configurations.

Cooling capacities of up to 28 kW are possible on only 0.5 m² of floor space due to the compact design, resulting in significant flexibility advantages for production layout planning and a marked increase in productivity, as more production machines can be accommodated. In the compact models of our immersion chillers, the condenser is installed horizontally. This design significantly reduces waste heat emission, preserving internal components from heat exposure.

A robust agitator in all models of the immersion chiller series ensures consistent media temperature in the lubrication tank. For routine cleaning, the HYFRA Gamma series can be easily removed from the tank using fixed crane eyes.

How does an immersion chiller work?

With immersion chillers, the evaporator is submerged directly into the cooling medium. The liquid is contained in a tank and is continuously and vigorously agitated for efficient cooling. Powerful agitators support this process.

Immersion chillers are commonly used for temperature control of coolant lubricants in filtration and mechanical engineering applications to ensure the performance of connected equipment. They are also used in metalworking to indirectly cool tools and workpieces, with typical applications including milling and grinding with CNC machines or conventional machine tools.

Depending on the cooling capacity, HYFRA Gamma Series immersion chillers are equipped with either FreeSmart or FreeAdvanced control systems. The combination of FreeAdvanced control and a touchscreen panel provides clear viewing and reading of all relevant values. Both freely programmable controllers feature multiple digital and analog inputs and outputs. The FreeAdvanced control also features a full-text display and supports Modbus-TCP.
