Coil metal straightening, slitting, and cutting equipment is an essential attribute for companies working with sheet metal. The Forstner EASY series features machines that cut metal sheets to a pre-set length using either guillotine or rotary shears. The EASY CUT models are equipped with rotary shears capable of cutting steel up to 1.0 mm thick. For applications requiring the cutting of thicker metal, the EASY PRO model equipped with a guillotine is recommended. The working width of these machines can be either 1250 mm or 1500 mm.
Forstner STRAIGHT: These machines pull the coil to the required length, straighten it, and then cut it. Depending on the type of cross-cut shear and the diameter of the leveling rollers, the processable metal thickness ranges from 1 mm to 2 mm. STRAIGHT and POWERSTRAIGHT models differ in their roller adjustment mechanism: mechanical or automatic. Integrated automatic control saves time in the long term, as changing machine operating parameters requires just the press of a button. Automatic control is an excellent choice when frequently processing a wide variety of materials.
The Forstner SLIT series is a reliable solution for slitting coiled metal. The SLIT CUT and SLIT PRO models not only cut the metal but also slit it into strips of the desired width. As standard, these models are supplied with 5 slitting knives (maximum number of knives – 7). The key difference between the SLIT CUT and SLIT PRO models lies in the cut-off shear type: rotary shears or guillotine.
The Forstner COMPACT series features equipment that pulls the desired length, straightens, slits into strips of the required width, and cuts sheets to a specified length. The primary difference between models is the type of cut-off shear used: rotary shears or a guillotine. The leveling rollers and slitting knives are mechanically adjustable.
POWER COMPACT is a high-performance coil metal straightening, slitting, and cutting line. These two models differ by working width and maximum cross-cutting metal thickness.
nuSLIT machine models are fully automated lines. If you require fully automated machines for slitting and cut-to-length processes, the nuSLIT PRO or nuSLIT PROCUT models are recommended. The difference between these models is the type of cut-off shear: guillotine or segmented rotary shears. The nuSLIT STRAIGHT PRO and nuSLIT STRAIGHT PROCUT models combine straightening, slitting, and cutting functionalities. These models support up to 7 slitting knives.
