E-commerce parcel sorter produced by VanRiet (Van Riet Material Handling Systems BV). Disassembled and ready for transport.

The sorter includes:
a) three roller conveyor lines with 72 outbound shipping stations;
b) one roller conveyor line;
c) alongside each shipping line (3 lines) and the returns line (1 line) runs a separate waste belt conveyor for removal of surplus cartons (this leads outside the building to a baler container - not included in the offer);
d) one parcel slide-off line with 46 sorting destinations, equipped with a scanner for measuring the size and weight of individual parcels.

The rated capacity of this sorter is 6,000 parcels per hour. The valuation includes additional photographic documentation illustrating the technical condition of the items and detailed lists of components of the sorter.

Sorting process overview: Parcels are prepared for outbound shipment and assigned to a particular carrier. Goods should be packed in a cardboard box or polybag. An operator scans the item and creates a label for the box or polybag. The sorter sends information about the box/container to the MHS (VanRiet) controller. In the meantime, the box/container is placed on the loading line by an operator. The products are conveyed downstream, merged onto a single transport line, and at the end a camera scanner identifies, measures, and directs each parcel to the correct destination (ready-for-shipment output).

The MHS (VanRiet) sorter is adapted to handle items with a wide range of dimensions. It processes boxes with lengths from 150–800 mm, widths from 100–600 mm, heights from 10–400 mm, and weights from 0.25 kg to 32 kg. Polybags can range from 200–550 mm in length, 150–550 mm in width, 13–400 mm in height, and weights from 0.25 kg to 10 kg.

The MHS (VanRiet) sorter is capable of sorting up to 6,000 parcels per hour, with outbound parcels divided across 46 output destinations. The general layout of the sorter is shown in the diagram below. Lines 1–3 are outbound lines, while Line 4 (added in 2020) serves returns.
