MONZESI ROSSI MONZA 1500 currently undergoing refurbishment and complete electrical/electronic retrofit
Equipped with Siemens electronics featuring a touchscreen interface, brushless motors on the Z-axis (workpiece diameter adjustment) and regulating wheel (variable speed control), stepper motor for incremental grinding wheel dressing, and automatic size compensation following grinding wheel dressing.
Grinding wheel dimensions: 350 mm x 610 mm diameter
The machine is available for inspection at our warehouse in Gussago (BS), Italy.

In the plunge grinding process, workpieces with stepped or contoured outer surfaces, such as injection needles, valves, crossheads, as well as gearbox and electric motor shafts, are machined. Available technologies include straight or angular plunge grinding, single or multi-piece plunge grinding, plunge grinding in multiple operations (simultaneous or sequential), and oscillating plunge grinding. Through-feed grinding is used for the machining of unprofiled workpieces, such as cylindrical and tapered rollers, rings, bars, and hydraulic spools. This grinding method is highly productive and is primarily used for series- and mass-production of precision components.
