Capable of handling all types of plastic waste, including bulky materials such as large bales or carpet pads, without the need for pre-shredding. Offers advanced efficiency thanks to a material-protecting shredding unit and an optimized extrusion process, enabling you to achieve zero waste production targets in a sustainable manner (all production scraps are recovered). Plastic waste is processed by a heavy-duty, low-speed shredder unit designed to minimize loss of material properties. During this stage, a hydraulic ram feeds the material towards the shredding shaft. Shredder and extruder drives are controlled automatically and independently according to load conditions. After shredding, the ground material is transferred directly to the extruder via the feed screw. In the extruder, the material is brought to a homogenous melt temperature and degassed if required. All components are positioned close to each other to prevent oxidation of the material and to utilize the heat generated during shredding in the most efficient way. In a single process step, slow-rotating shredder blades granulate the plastic waste, and the ground material is continuously transferred to the extruder by the feed screw. Wide, thick or bulky waste can be processed directly as long as it fits into the hopper—pre-shredding is not required. The control system ensures smooth start-up of all equipment components. In the event of an unexpected stop, the system can be restarted in under two minutes, even with a full hopper and extruder. Material level in the hopper is continuously measured, and feeding is adjusted accordingly. Irregular loading of the conveyor is possible—the NGR control unit handles the rest.
