Filling and Packaging Line for 50 ml Vials
1. Vial Infeed
Machine: Rotary Table, SSS Conveyor Technology, Year of Manufacture 2007
Empty or already filled and sealed 50 ml vials are manually placed onto a rotary table. From there, they are automatically singled out onto the conveyor belt and continue through the downstream line sections.
2. Labeling with Print and Camera Inspection
Machine: Pago System 520, Year of Manufacture 2007
Printing System: Domino 320i Thermal Transfer Printer
Camera System: Cognex (integrated in Pago)
The vials are labeled with self-adhesive labels. During labeling, batch number, expiry date, etc. are printed directly onto the label with a Domino thermal transfer printer. A camera-based inspection (Cognex) of the printed data is performed simultaneously. Inspection results are displayed on an integrated screen. Both print and camera systems are fully integrated into the Pago labeling machine.
3. Vial Transfer (from vertical to horizontal)
Machine: FlexLink Conveyor XH, SSS Conveyor Technology, Year of Manufacture 2016
Labeled vials are transferred into a horizontal position via a bottle turner to prepare them for insertion into the cartoner.
4. Cartoning with Leaflet Insertion
Machine: MK-120, Harro Höfliger, Year of Manufacture 2007
The cartoner automatically erects pre-formed folding cartons. Simultaneously, a leaflet is folded via a GUK folding machine and provided. One 50 ml vial and one leaflet are automatically inserted into each folding carton. In the configuration shown here, the bottom of the folding carton is sealed with hot melt glue, and the top is closed with a tuck-in flap. Optionally (with existing format parts), conversion to double-sided tuck-in flaps without glue sealing is possible.
5. Serialization and Camera Inspection
Machine: Laetus PrintSpect TTS MV-70, Year of Manufacture 2015
After cartoning, the folding cartons are printed with serial numbers and variable data (thermal transfer) and fully inspected by a Laetus camera system. This station was retrofitted in 2015. The Harro Höfliger MK-120 is also equipped with an integrated Wölke printing system, which is not utilized here.
6. Tamper-Evident Labeling
Machine: Pago System, Year of Manufacture 2007
The serialized folding cartons are sealed on the flap sides with tamper-evident labels. For this purpose, cartons are precisely aligned and guided using side belts.
7. Case Packing

Machine: IMA CP18BA Case Packer, Year of Manufacture 2007
The finished individual packages are pneumatically pushed into shipping cartons. The case packer seals the shipping cartons with hot melt glue.
8. Final Shipping Carton Labeling
Machine: Laetus VL4 C2 ICMV Cabinet + Pago Labeler, Year of Manufacture 2015
The completed shipping cartons are labeled using thermal transfer printing. No camera inspection is performed at this station. This unit is exclusively used for shipping carton labeling (no serialization or aggregation).
9. Checkweighing (optional)
A manual checkweighing unit is also available, but is not included in the scope of supply and was only used for internal final checks.
