The new cold-regenerating adsorption dryer from Parker Zander combines proven, reliable elements of adsorption technology with a clear, well-structured concept.
Key features of the K-MT adsorption dryer series include:
• Monoblock adsorber profiles
• Independently controlled main and vent valves with leak-free design
• Compact check valve assemblies – all of which guarantee continuous operational reliability and maximum availability.
All K-MT series adsorption dryers are equipped with:
• Self-cleaning sieve trays on the wet side
• High-quality desiccant media
During adsorption, the desiccant absorbs the moisture contained in compressed air.
Parker Zander exclusively uses high-performance, high-capacity molecular sieve desiccants.
These desiccants ensure long service life even at high inlet temperatures or low pressure dew points.
Regeneration takes place in a counterflow to the adsorption process.
A portion of the dried compressed air is expanded to atmospheric pressure and passed through the desiccant bed to be regenerated.
Moisture previously absorbed during adsorption is removed using this stream of dry regeneration air.
The regeneration air requirement of 14.3% for cold-regenerated adsorption dryers is based on:
Operating pressure: 7 bar
Inlet temperature: 35°C
Pressure dew point: -40°C
With one cycle consisting of:
- 5 minutes adsorption
- 4 minutes desorption
- 1 minute repressurization
The Parker Zander 10-minute cycle, with 5 minutes of adsorption, results in 12 switching cycles per hour.
The common market 6-minute cycle, with only 3 minutes of adsorption, requires 20 cycles per hour and thus 5.6% more regeneration energy.
With the Parker Zander 10-minute cycle, energy costs are reduced and wear is minimized.
