The assembly plant is a production line consisting of three machine segments, which are interconnected by conveyor sections. In the first section, the individual consumables are fed in via rollers, folded, the nose bridge integrated, ultrasonically welded, and then cut to the correct length. The finished and cut masks are transported via an indexing conveyor and additional transport conveyors to the next machine segments, which are arranged in parallel. In these stations, the ear loops are fed and welded to the masks.

The line is designed for the production of surgical and general-purpose medical masks made from 1- or 3-layer PP nonwoven fabric.

System Structure

The basic structure of each cell consists of an aluminum profile system with pivot doors made of Makrolon. To ensure the necessary stability for the individual processes, the stations are mounted on solid aluminum table plates. The control cabinets are integrated into the base frame. The equipment includes three ultrasonic welding units, Siemens PLC controls, and various pneumatic components from Festo.

The machine is currently no longer in use and was regularly maintained during its operating period. Currently, the machine is in a dismantled state and the individual system components are stored under dust protection.
