Deskripsi
The BF-Comet is equipped with Saki's unique line-scan camera image acquisition concept and vector analysis, making it suitable for all types of inspections (SMD, THT) both before and after soldering.
Due to the very short cycle times, operators virtually never need to wait. This makes Saki technology ideal for benchtop use. The highly precise line-scan camera forms the central unit of Saki’s image capture system.
During image acquisition, the PCB is passed under the stationary optical system along one axis. The line-scan camera records the PCB line by line, with each line being captured four times, alternately with different light sources.
Within seconds, a complete image of the board is available for inspection and programming.
Variable and constant illumination methods are essential for reliable image evaluation. The Saki system incorporates three main variable units: coaxial (top), side-offset (side), and low-angle (low) lighting.
Thanks to the line-scan imaging concept, every component, regardless of its position on the PCB, is always at the same distance and angle from the corresponding light source. This results in evenly illuminated images for evaluation.

The so-called top-light unit is a 100% coaxial light source, injected into the vertical camera view via a half-mirror.
As a result, the 2D image appears shadow-free, which is particularly important for reliable solder joint inspection and inspections between tall components.
The MLT lighting provides clear, color distinction between tinned/soldered and non-tinned areas.
Areas without solder or with poor wetting are displayed in shades of red, allowing the use of color recognition algorithms for reliable detection.
Foreign objects such as misplaced components, solder balls, scratches, and other damage can be detected using Saki’s ECD function with minimal additional programming effort.
Since a full image of the PCB is already captured, this function adds only a few seconds to the inspection time (calculation time).
Foreign object inspection:
- Automatic library creation.
Saki’s KPK function automatically generates a library with a presence check customized to the mounted components for unrecognized/new components.
- Automatic X/Y coordinate generation for THT solder joints.
If layout data (CAD) for THT solder joints is unavailable, this function enables automatic generation using both unsoldered and soldered PCBs.
- Programming wizard
Throughout the programming process—from importing CAD data, aligning data, and assigning libraries—the software provides a wizard to guide the programmer.
