The BioWelder operates with a thermal welding cycle that does not require laminar airflow. During this welding process, the blade is kept sterile and endotoxin-free throughout the entire cycle.

Inserted tubes are cut with a blade and then fused together by the device. The cycle is fully automated and only releases the tubes after a complete cycle.

Various programmable holders allow welding of thermoplastic tubes of the same type (e.g. C-Flex, Sanipure, Pharmed) with diameters from 6.4 mm (1/4") to 19.0 mm (3/4").
