Automatic cleaning

The electromagnetic overband separator with automatic cleaning is installed above the conveyor belt and enables simple and quick separation of magnetic particles from the conveyed material. This separator is primarily used in applications with a high prevalence of ferromagnetic particles, where manual-cleaning separators would not be suitable due to the high levels of contamination. Compared to permanent overband magnetic separators, the magnetic field of electromagnetic plate separators is significantly stronger and deeper. The electromagnetic separators are ideal for capturing awkwardly shaped parts (such as screws, nuts, balls, etc.) and heavier iron pieces.

The extremely powerful electromagnetic field also ensures the separation of ferromagnetic particles located under thicker layers of conveyed material. Additionally, the electromagnet is the only solution for applications where—due to operational or maintenance requirements—the magnetic field must be deactivated (which is not possible with permanent magnets).
