(2x) Climate Chambers for Stability Testing

The system for storing stability samples consists of 2 climate chambers. Both climate chambers are powered via an electrical control cabinet and feature separate wiring diagrams.

The climate chambers are based on cold storage cells manufactured by Viessmann. The chambers are identical in dimensions and are equipped with stainless steel shelving racks.

The chambers were previously connected to a measurement data acquisition system. This is currently not available. However, integration into a building management system is generally possible and has been prepared for.

The overall system was decommissioned in 2024 and underwent final qualification. Qualification documents can be provided upon request.

Delivery, installation, and technical service for the system were exclusively carried out by ThermoTEC.

The client offers the listed items EXW (Ex Works). That means dismantling and loading are the buyer’s responsibility.

The system mainly consists of:

- 2 constant climate chambers made from 80mm PU panels, with stainless steel floors and single-leaf hinged doors featuring frame heating
- 2 chamber air-conditioning modules including:
- Circulation fans for chamber air recirculation
- Direct evaporation coils with R404A refrigerant, for cooling and dehumidification
- Electric resistance heaters 2*1.5kW
- Cold steam inlet hoses from the ultrasonic humidifier
- 2 air-cooled refrigeration condensing units for cooling and dehumidifying the climate chambers
- 2 ultrasonic humidifiers, each with a capacity of 1kg/h
- Control cabinet for regulation and control of the climate chambers

Recirculated air in the constant climate chambers is drawn in, conditioned via the air handling unit, and exhausted through the front.
A temperature and humidity sensor mounted in the suction area transmits the actual values of the test space to each respective control circuit of the climate chambers.
Each control circuit (Temp./Humidity) has its own dedicated process controller installed in the control panel front.
The controllers operate the following functions as needed:
> HEATING via electric resistance heater
> COOLING via refrigeration unit and direct evaporation
> HUMIDIFYING via ultrasonic humidifier
> DEHUMIDIFYING via refrigeration unit and direct evaporation
Temperature and humidity in the chambers are regulated automatically.
