The TRUMPF TruLaser 5040 6kW laser cutter was manufactured in 2012 in Germany by TRUMPF Maschinen Grüsch AG. The machine has been regularly serviced, upgraded, and maintained throughout its operational life.
The TRUMPF TruLaser 5040 (L18) laser cutter is designed for precision sheet cutting, suitable for materials such as steel, aluminum, copper, and brass. Laser cutting is performed using a stable 6 kW laser beam generated by a highly energy-efficient resonator. Multiple additional systems enhance the processing course while simultaneously increasing cut quality.
The entire machining process is fully automated, thanks to the automatic pallet changer system. This system enables simultaneous loading and unloading of workpieces during cutting, which significantly boosts production efficiency and minimizes machine downtime. The TruLaser 5040 is offered with comprehensive equipment, including extra cutting heads and an advanced CNC controller with multiple useful features.
In September 2022, the set of quartz tubes, all internal optics, and the lamp were replaced. The external optics were cleaned and calibrated in September 2025. Filters and oils have been changed per TRUMPF's recommendations. Water has been replaced yearly, along with flushing the CU and AL circuits. All these maintenance procedures are documented by relevant service reports. Original lenses for both heads and an optics case are included with the machine.
