Berkmann systems operate on the principle of displacement flow, meaning that a negative pressure is generated on the wall side of the room, while the supply air unit creates positive pressure on the opposite side.

As a result, nearly the entire room air flows in a directed and low-turbulence manner from the supply air side towards the exhaust side.

Paint mist generated in the flow area is collected and extracted.

With Berkmann extraction units, extraction takes place throughout the entire area, not just at the intake area of the spray wall as is the case with conventional systems.

This makes it possible to also coat larger components.

Additionally, it is not necessary to work directly in front of the extraction unit.

Thanks to the patented “gap extraction”, high extraction speeds are achieved on all sides (including the floor area where solvents accumulate).

Due to the special arrangement, extremely large filter surfaces could be accommodated, resulting in exceptionally long filter service lives.

Compared to traditional spray booths, Berkmann extraction systems operate with significantly lower air volumes, resulting in energy savings of up to 50%.
