This machine was designed and built to perform cutting and milling operations on plastics (PVC, Plexiglas, etc.), composites (BOND), and wood-based materials (MDF, chipboard, natural wood), as commonly required in the furniture manufacturing and advertising production industries.

The main objectives in its design process were:

- Maximum utilization of standard-sized sheets, both for plastics and wood-based materials. Plexiglas, PVC, solid polycarbonate, and Stadur typically measure 2030x3030 mm. MDF and chipboard usually measure up to 2080x2800 mm.

- Simplicity in operation. Thanks to the software support, a wide range of operations are fully automated, thereby relieving the operator from many tasks (automatic homing, measurement, calibration, automatic cutter length adjustment, exhaust control, vacuum, automatic cooling system control).

- Ease of maintenance and servicing. Wherever possible, the use of complex or hard-to-procure components was avoided. In order to ensure that the machine components are not excessively stressed—which could lead to real-world problems—many parts have been over-dimensioned. Thus, we are confident they will last for years before requiring replacement.

- Modular construction. Due to their dimensions, installation typically requires wide access points. We have succeeded in manufacturing a machine with these working dimensions that can still be brought in and assembled through standard-sized doorways.

- Upgradable. To maintain an attractive cost, we acknowledge that certain cost optimizations have been made in the construction of the machine. However, from the production stage, we have prepared the machine to be equipped over time with more powerful or faster components, or with features that enable new operations.
