The extruder consists of a base frame, a gearbox, and a distribution unit with special bearings capable of ensuring flawless operation with a backpressure of up to 150 bar.
The barrel is of a modular cylindrical type, with a length equivalent to 37 screw diameters and assembled from eight sections.
Each barrel module is temperature-controlled by means of forced circulation of demineralized water through a series of horizontally drilled holes within each module.
Heating is achieved via cartridge heaters. The screws are of sectionally interchangeable design and are mounted on splined shafts to allow configuration according to specific processing requirements.
Barrels and screws are manufactured from high wear-resistant steel.
The degassing system features a 1.5 kW liquid ring vacuum pump connected to the dedicated module via easy-to-clean piping; extracted gases are collected in a designated container for straightforward cleaning.
The drive unit includes a 51 kW (Siemens) AC motor and associated inverter, enclosed in a cabinet equipped with the necessary safety features and control signals.
The control panel (integrated into the extruder) is divided into two sections: power supply and temperature control.
The cabinet is fitted with an air conditioner.
The extruder includes a closed-loop water/water thermostatic unit (1.1 kW pump).
