Product Features
The universal CORMAK BS 712 R metal bandsaw allows cutting in the vertical plane as well as perpendicular to the material axis or at any angle ranging from 45° to 90°. Cutting feed is gravity assisted, based on oil flow in a dual-chamber hydraulic cylinder. The desired arm descent speed is achieved via an oil flow control valve. The required blade linear speed can be set by changing the pulley ratio between the worm gear and the drive motor. The arm is made of profiled ductile cast iron, ensuring rigidity during operation and absorbing all kinds of vibrations. The control panel is located on the saw arm. The blade drive system consists of two cast iron wheels: the tensioning wheel (adjusted via a lever) and the drive wheel. The torque from the worm gearbox is transmitted directly to the drive wheel, and the worm gearbox is powered by an electric motor. Proper saw blade inclination is achieved by the bearing roller assembly. The machine base is a sturdy rectangular steel construction, housing a coolant reservoir with pump inside. The top part of the base features a tray for draining coolant and a chip container for material cuttings. A cast iron worktable is mounted on the tray, equipped with a vise to clamp the material, and to which the saw arm is attached. The vise is equipped with a quick-action clamp for holding the cut piece. The lower part of the base has holes for wheel axles. Safety during the cutting process is provided by an electrical system conforming to all CE requirements. The machine has a limit switch that stops the machine at the end of the cutting cycle, an emergency stop “mushroom” switch, and a series of microswitches that cut off power if, for example, the belt or blade cover is opened. Additionally, unlike competitor models, this machine is equipped with a wire brush that cleans chips off the blade, preventing clogging and ensuring more efficient cutting.
