Construction and operation of the planer

Table: The thicknessing table is made from high-quality cast iron, ground and polished to a surface finish of Ra 1.6. Height adjustment is achieved via a large, convenient handwheel, which can be locked in position using an additional eccentric lever.
Knives: The key component of the planer, positioned above or below the worktable, responsible for removing excess material from the wood surface. The knives are mounted on a rotating cutterhead or spindle.
Motor: The planer is driven by an electric motor supplying power to the cutterhead or planer block.
Cutterhead guard: The cutterhead guard can be freely adjusted for height, angle, and extension to suit operational needs.
Feed mechanism: The woodworking machine is equipped with both infeed and outfeed rollers, placed close to the cutterhead, enabling precise processing of even relatively short workpieces. The feed rollers are chain-driven for slip-free operation, ensuring uniform workpiece feed without material 'scalloping.'
Guides: Guides assist in maintaining consistent movement of the workpiece. The angle guide can be smoothly adjusted from 90° to 45°.
Stability: The machine's substantial weight ensures excellent stability, allowing safe, vibration-free operation, further enhanced by anti-vibration feet.
