The planer-thicknesser is a versatile woodworking machine that enables jointing, thickness planing, and smoothing of wood. Ideally suited for joinery and furniture production, it allows for precise planing, fine surface finish, edge processing, board manufacturing, production of joinery components, and material preparation for gluing. This is a robust, stable machine equipped with a high-quality cast iron table, cutter knives for material removal, an electric motor, and adjustable settings for user-friendly operation.

The planer-thicknesser, also known as a jointer, is designed for the initial machining of both raw and hard wood, as well as softwood (lumber). Its purpose is to level, size, and smooth wood through mechanical processes. It is especially valuable in woodworking and furniture manufacturing, where precision and repeatability are key.

Stable Construction with Increased Weight, Vibration Resistant

The machine’s weight of 170 kg, combined with wide, ground cast iron tables (250 mm), guarantees excellent stability for safe operation.

Additional rubber feet allow for vibration-free operation.

The PT260 planer-thicknesser features a particularly powerful S6 2.6 kW motor (S1 2.0 kW), outperforming competitive machines, which results in increased productivity and operational stability.

A more powerful motor ensures smooth operation and easy processing of hardwoods: Hard woods require greater power for machining. The strong motor handles this with ease.

Effortless switch from jointer to thickness planer

Converting from jointer to thicknesser mode is quick and simple: release the eccentric cams, raise the tables, and reposition the dust extraction hood.

Work Precision

- Stepless height adjustment of the tables with scale.
- Thicknesser table centrally mounted on a column, with handwheel for up/down adjustment.
- Aluminium tilting fence (700x150 mm) with slotted scale, allowing exact angle adjustment from 90–45 degrees.
