The contaminated air is fed tangentially into the upper cylindrical section, generating a rotating airflow. Under centrifugal force, the material is separated to the perimeter of the cyclone and discharged through the opening at the bottom. The cleaned air exits the cyclone via the centrally positioned outlet pipe at the top.

Separation efficiency increases with higher feed velocity, but so do pressure losses and, consequently, energy consumption. It is therefore important to find a suitable compromise.

We have developed a range of cyclones optimized for filtering large material quantities, making them ideal for the wood, paper, recycling, grain, and feed industries.

Below, the cyclone with the appropriate size can be selected based on the air volume and a typical pressure drop of around 1000 Pa.
