Accessories / Special equipment:

- KBH workpiece feeder installed parallel to the machine, currently configured for the loading and unloading of shaft-type workpieces approx. 16 mm Ø x 200 mm long, with prism conveyor belt and lifting station for 2 shafts (raw/finished part) in the area of the chucks, including workpiece position monitoring device.
- Originally used for rolling the external gearing (Zz = 25) of so-called planet carriers (automotive), approx. 32 mm Ø x 14 mm long, workpiece Ø approx. 80 mm x 80 mm long.
- Various accessories, separate control cabinet, separate 900 L hydraulic unit, coolant system integrated in the machine, control panel with plain-text fault diagnostics, etc.
ROTO FLO machines are ideal for series production of smaller gears/profiles and are significantly more cost-effective than hobbing.
Workpieces are clamped between centers and profiled by synchronously counter-moving rack tools. The material is displaced and formed by the increasing profile height within the rack tool. Profile and surface quality are optimized in the calibration zone of the tool. No run-out – as is necessary with hobbing or shaping – is required.
The machine features an extremely robust design.
Tool life can reach 25,000 to 100,000 parts, even for helical gears.
