We overhaul your existing Karstens and Bahmüller cylindrical grinding machines.

The overhaul for Bahmüller and Karstens cylindrical grinding machines includes the following:

1. Housing / Full enclosure
- New paintwork in RAL 7035, RAL 7011
- New 10 mm polycarbonate safety window
- New bearings for the workpiece change door

2. Grinding spindle headstock
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Inspection of bearings, regrinding of plain bearings where necessary, replacement if required
- Inspection and cleaning of the lubrication system
- Overhaul of the grinding spindle
- Installation of new coolant hoses, valves, and aluminum coolant nozzles
- Replacement of drive belts

3. Tailstock
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Overhaul of the quill
- Inspection of bearings, regrinding of plain bearings where necessary, replacement if required
- Dismantling and cleaning of fine adjustment, replacement of defective parts as needed

4. Workpiece spindle headstock
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Inspect bearings and replace if necessary
- Inspection and cleaning of the lubrication system
- Overhaul of the workpiece spindle
- Replacement of drive belts

5. Hydraulics
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Bearing overhaul of the hydraulic motor
- Overhaul or replacement of the pump
- Complete renewal of all hoses
- Filter replacement
- Hydraulic circuit diagram

6. Pneumatics
- New maintenance unit
- New air purge unit for length measuring systems
- New pneumatic lines/fittings/distributors and small parts
- Pneumatic circuit diagram

7. Lubrication for spindles
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Bearing overhaul of the lubrication motor
- Overhaul or replacement of the pump
- Inspection and cleaning of the lubrication system
- Check lubrication monitoring, replace if necessary

8. Central lubrication
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Bearing overhaul of the lubrication motor
- Overhaul or replacement of the pump
- Inspection and cleaning of the lubrication system
- Check and replace lubrication monitoring, if present

9. Machine bed
- Complete external and internal cleaning
- Sanding and repainting
- Re-scraping and measuring of V and flat guideways
- Installation of a new (swiveling) operator panel

10. X and Z axis
- New bearings on the X axis
- Replacement of linear ball screws
- New axial bearings
- Surface grinding, scraping if required
- Overhaul of X-axis coarse adjustment

11. Geometry
- Complete geometric grinding and adjustment of
Grinding spindle headstock, workpiece spindle headstock, tailstock, X and Z axes
- Preparation of a geometry protocol

12. Electrical equipment
- Construction of a new Rittal control cabinet with Siemens components, contactors, motor protection switches, Finder relays, Siemens drives, NCU, power supply, Siemens PLC, etc., optional MPM, Jenoptik and other control devices
- Preparation of a new E-Plan 8 circuit diagram
- Complete new wiring with PUR cables
- New operating devices, switches, pushbuttons (Siemens, Eaton)

13. CNC Control
- Siemens SINUMERIK ONE control
- Siemens axis drives and frequency converters with CU
- Siemens asynchronous motor (grinding spindle)
- Siemens synchronous motors in X, Z, and workpiece spindle

14. Length measurement systems
- Absolute Heidenhain length measurement systems

15. Miscellaneous
- CE marking and protocol
