Drill Bit Grinding Machine 0313 – Effortless Drill Bit Sharpening

Sharpening the drill bit takes only three steps:
1. Clamp the drill bit in the fixture
2. Sharpen the drill bit
3. Point the drill bit

Before clamping the drill bit, the drill diameter is set using a rotary knob on the grinding machine. The drill bit, mounted in the suitable collet, is aligned and clamped in the fixture in the machine’s left holder.

Sharpening the cutting edges as well as pointing the bit is straightforward: Switch on the machine, insert the fixture with the drill bit into the right holder, rotate gently from stop to stop – the first cutting edge is done. Then rotate the fixture by 180° and sharpen the second cutting edge.

Pointing the drill works the same way, only using the upper holder. That’s it. Simply switch off the machine and unclamp the drill bit.

A clever invention combines an eccentric mechanism with a specialized grinding wheel, so there’s no need to worry about the cutting edge profile or relief angle. Another advantage: Both cutting edges are produced with exactly the same setting, resulting in perfect symmetry. Additionally, the point angle can be freely selected between 90° and 140° before sharpening.

21 high-precision collets for diameters from 3 to 13 mm in 0.5 mm increments ensure concentric clamping.

The grinding wheel service life exceeds 5,000 uses. In addition to the standard CBN grinding wheel for HSS tools, we also offer a diamond grinding wheel for carbide drill bits. Replacing the wheel takes just a few seconds, and two safety switches prevent unintended operation when the machine is open.

The compact design and practical carrying handle make mobile use easy. Since the entire system accessories such as collets, fixtures, and Allen keys are stored on the machine, everything you need is always at hand.
