All 60 flail tips were replaced just a few operating hours ago.

“These powerful Husmann machines, designated 'HFG (Husmann Forestry Equipment),' achieve uniform, fine, and clean shredding through a special impact technology and flail arrangement.

The shredded material is transported via a spacious intake hopper with a forged steel chain conveyor to the feed roller and then to the flail rotor. The pendulum-mounted feed roller is guided with a rack and hydraulically driven by a large reduction gearbox. The feed roller, which adapts to the incoming material, can also be controlled and lifted using the remote control. The roller or feed opening of 460 mm ensures smooth and rapid feeding.

The robust rotor, made of high-quality steel (1000 kg), is fracture-proof even when handling heavy foreign materials, thanks to additional bracing and sophisticated design. Sixty free-swinging flails are staggered on eight hardened flail shafts. The quick-change system allows the tungsten carbide-tipped flail tips to be bolted onto the flail holders. Thanks to the large number of 50 mm wide flails, and the rotor’s direction of rotation over a breaker bar toward the infeed belt, the material is shredded optimally and made suitable for composting. The quality of the end product can be further adjusted and improved by the load-dependent and infinitely variable feed speed of the scraper floor and the feed roller.

The rotor trough and discharge area design allow stockpiling up to 2.5 meters high.
The powerful superstructure engine with 205 kW is easily accessible through large compartment doors, making operation and maintenance straightforward. User-friendly controls and safety features such as rotor overload protection and a reversing device are quality hallmarks of our plant.
The mobile shredding unit features an 80 km/h chassis with air brakes and can be supplied as either a stationary device or with a hook lift frame.
The HFG IV is a composting machine for organic and inorganic waste designed for mechanical feeding.”
