igm brings its extensive experience to the realization of robotic systems for forklift manufacturing. igm plays a leading role in customer-specific welding solutions for lift masts, lattice masts, main frames, engine frames, and hydraulic cylinders.

For the production of hydraulic cylinders, an automated system consisting of a robot in an enclosed station with conveying and clamping devices is used. For various lengths of lift masts, the igm offline program assembly system iPAT is used for the modification of robot programs. This system allows the shifting and copying of individual program steps or groups of steps on a PC. Geometry data can be imported via an interface from the CAD system. Robotic setups for welding main frames usually consist of a 3-axis carriage system and an L-manipulator, allowing workpieces to always be rotated into the best accessibility and welding position.

For extreme productivity requirements, automatic production lines for components are available. These flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) are designed to process a single type of workpiece in several identical robot cells. The linking of the individual robotic welding stations is done via an automated guided vehicle system. The carriage runs on rails and carries a satellite cart that can enter all stations for loading, unloading, preparation, and welding. The workpieces are automatically clamped by a special fixture.
