Description
The Instron 2663-822 Standard Video Extensometer (SVE) is a non-contact optical measurement system for precise strain recording during tensile, compression, and bending tests. Using contactless measurement via digital image processing, the system tracks markers on the sample surface—without any mechanical influence on the test results.
Ideal for applications where traditional contact extensometers (e.g., with knife-edges) are unsuitable—such as with thin, delicate, or elastic materials.
The SVE is compatible with Instron materials testing machines and can be integrated via Bluehill software (depending on system version).
