APPLICATION
For clamping, rotating, and tilting workpieces with
round cross-sections during manual or automatic
welding, mainly used in pipeline construction (pre-fabrication
and on-site assembly) as well as apparatus engineering. In addition to a high rationalization effect (elimination of an assistant and interruption-free workflow when rotating),
the device offers qualitative improvements: no weld seam interruptions,
consistent welding position throughout.
DESCRIPTION
The stator, constructed in solid-wall design, houses
the electrical control system as well as the tilting drive.

Tilting is manual with a hand crank (U 150 and U 500),
(electric motor-driven as standard on the U 1000) for U 500 approx. 135° tilting angle. Electric motor-driven tilting drive is also available as an option.
The tiltable part consists of the drive and roller housing,
clamping column, clamping arm, and clamping roller. The machine is also available in a non-tilting version, designated as U 150 H, U 500 H, and U 1000 H. In general, on all U-series machines, the drive and electrical control are enclosed in the stand or roller housing for protection.
