The new Zimmerei chainsaw ZSX-TWIN Ec is a practical, solution-oriented tool for processing large wooden structural components. With the development of the twin-motor chainsaw, MAFELL has established a new standard, enabling tasks that were previously almost impossible or time-consuming to be accomplished effortlessly and with precision. With a rated output of 3,000 watts, a single CUprex motor already pushes a 230 V power supply to its performance limit. Operating two CUprex motors simultaneously would overload any single-phase standard power network. By distributing the load across two separate circuits, the twin-motor ZSX receives the power it requires. This is precisely what is offered by a three-phase power supply, where individual phases are protected separately, preventing overloading of the entire system.

Benefits:
Thanks to the use of single-phase technology, the ZSX TWIN weighs only 20 kg at a rated output of 6,000 watts. This allows for longitudinal cuts up to a cutting depth of 400 mm! In timber construction and for processing solid timber wall elements, corner notches are frequently required. The vertically positioned cutting tool allows for notches and lap joints to be made quickly and precisely. Laborious turning of the workpieces is no longer necessary. The core of the ZSX-TWIN Ec is its two 3,000-watt single-phase motors, which run in parallel on two separate 230 V phases from the three-phase network. The ZSX can be tilted precisely from -15° to 60° based on the scale.
