Die Lieferung erfolgt kostenfrei „bis zur Tür“ in ganz Europa, inklusive bis zu einer Woche Einweisung. Alle drei enthaltenen Schweißköpfe sind vom gleichen Typ (original Dimetrics FFIP Köpfe – Full Function In Place) mit Oszillation und AVC (Automatic Arc Voltage Control). Dimetrics war zudem als erstes Unternehmen zertifiziert, hydraulische Systeme in der Luftfahrt zu verschweißen. Zusammen mit Liburdi (Kanada) ist Dimetrics bis heute führend im Bereich Kernkraftwerks-Schweißtechnik. So setzt „Framatome“ beim Bau von 13 neuen Kernkraftwerken in Frankreich ausschließlich Geräte von Liburdi-Dimetrics (heute Gold Track 7) ein. Alle Schweißköpfe sind auch mit den neuesten Dimetrics-Schweißstromquellen kompatibel. Mein Equipment stammt aus den 1990ern und wurde von einer Werft übernommen, die Kern-U-Boote gebaut hatte – dort war es lediglich für Tests und Schulungen einsatzbereit, aber nie produktiv im Einsatz. Der Neupreis für vergleichbare Ausrüstung (nur 1 Schweißkopf mit AVC & Oszillation) liegt bei mindestens 75.000 € – ohne Anfasmaschinen. Ich hatte das Set für einen Auftrag gekauft, der letztlich nicht zustande kam. Da ich bereits vier andere Orbitalschweiß­anlagen besitze, kam dieses Set kaum zum Einsatz. Nach 50 Jahren in der Branche gebe ich den aktiven Teil der Orbitalschweißerei auf und bleibe als Berater aktiv. So kann ich das Equipment selbst in einen Kofferkoffer verladen, an meinen Camper anhängen und europaweit persönlich ausliefern.
