Condensation drying of air and, indirectly, of food products (such as fruit, tea, mushrooms, and similar items) is the most energy-efficient method for removing water from various materials. It operates on the heat pump principle – by cooling down to vapor temperature, the temperature drops below the dew point, causing the surface of the condenser to collect moisture from the air. The heat extracted from the air is immediately returned to the same air, and with the aid of the electrical energy required to run the compressor, an additional 20-30% heat is generated.
