The manufacturer listed in the original paperwork is still GFG "Geländefahrzeug-Gesellschaft"—a joint venture by Daimler-Benz and Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Austria at the time. The 280 GE is immediately available and ready for registration. It was recently driven a considerable distance by motorway to our premises, which it completed without issue.

According to verbal information, the Mercedes is accident-free, but this cannot be documented in writing and is therefore passed on to the buyer as hearsay.

The 280 GE was rightly classified as a classic vehicle and officially recognised in Germany as an "automotive cultural asset."
