To remove impurities that can hinder the storage or sale of grain, specialized cleaning machines—so-called separators—are used.

These machines are designed for use in both small and large-scale farming operations. The operator can individually adjust the fraction size and process various types of grain, including rye, wheat, sunflower seeds, corn, pulses, or coffee beans.

Operating principle of the separator:
The grain is fed into the inlet hopper, where it is evenly distributed and descends by gravity into the separation chamber.
An intensive airflow first separates heavier impurities and stones, which are discharged into the first fraction.

The cleaned grain moves on to the next stage, while lighter impurities and damaged kernels are carried by the airstream onto the final tray. Dust and fine particles are removed via the air outlet.

Through calibration and mass separation, the seed is optimally prepared for sowing by selecting only the fullest and healthiest kernels. This ensures greater uniformity, reduces seed requirements, and increases yield.

Pre-cleaning targets dust removal and partial elimination of non-grain waste, accelerating the preparation of grain for interim storage and further processing.
