EN-ME-LINE – Air-cooled dehumidifiers are used for air drying at relative humidity (RH) levels up to 100% at temperatures of +45°C and above.
EN-EU-LINE – Air-cooled dehumidifiers are used for air drying at relative humidity (RH) levels up to 100% at temperatures from -30°C to +40°C.
Rust is the adversary of freshly blasted steel; high humidity combined with low steel temperatures creates ideal conditions for moisture condensation on the newly blasted surface.
Flash rust is a major cause of premature coating failure. By reducing the relative humidity, Proton dehumidifiers are engineered to provide the optimal climatic conditions for blasting operations.
Climatic conditions worldwide vary greatly, from cool and damp in Western Europe, warm and humid in the Far East, to hot and humid in the Middle East. Various technological approaches can be employed in the dehumidification process; certain dehumidification technologies perform more effectively than others when managing specific climatic conditions.
Each Proton dehumidifier is manufactured to the highest quality standards and comes with regional certification.
At the heart of the dehumidifier is a highly efficient and robust metal silicate rotor. The rotor contains numerous air channels aligned parallel to the shaft, ensuring a large internal surface area for adsorption of water vapor. The rotor is not affected by oversaturation, allowing the PROTON dehumidifier’s rotor to withstand long-term storage in high humidity environments without any loss of capacity.
The PROTON dehumidifiers are specifically designed for corrosion protection in conjunction with sandblasting and painting operations, to preserve materials and prevent moisture-related problems. They meet the following requirements:
• Available in sizes from 1,000 m³/h to 18,000 m³/h dry air capacity.
• Available in precooled and postcooled versions for warm climates.
• Robust construction with steel frame, lifting eyes, etc.
• Key components can be easily serviced and replaced.
