SMC Technology – Smart Machine Control

A unique step-regulated device control concept developed by Rehm: The arc length is regulated not only by measuring welding current and voltage, but also by digitally setting the wire feed speed. This delivers outstanding welding results and ensures the machine is easy and safe to operate.

- SDI – Stepless Dynamic Induction

The continuously adjustable coil automatically ensures excellent arc ignition and high arc stability during welding. Fine adjustment can also be carried out manually using the SDI dial. This allows for control over heat input, which can significantly reduce the amount of post-weld finishing required.

- RSC – Realtime Speer Control

Digital monitoring and regulation of the wire feed speed with high precision and in real time. Thanks to RSC, changes in arc length are compensated more quickly and efficiently.

- CCM – Characteristic Curve Memory

An integrated welding parameter database containing expert knowledge. By selecting the wire type and diameter, as well as welding voltage/current level, the device automatically and synergistically selects preset welding parameters. During operation, the actual parameter values are compared with the preset parameters and corrected instantly if necessary.

- RMI – Rehm Machine Interface
