Well-used and poorly looking TEREX machine, previously operated at a scrap metal yard, exhibits significant aggressive metal corrosion, including on the feed conveyor. Runs well with CAT C4 engine; oil and filters changed over 300 hours ago. Much scrap metal among the rotating components. The machine is in working condition but has substantial rust, the drivetrain is loud, and the drive chain is completely rusted – drivetrain could use attention. The rear conveyor has been replaced with a new one; lubrication was satisfactory at the time of inspection. The rear conveyor was placed next to the front one, as the machine was kept against an internal wall. The feeder has heavy corrosion on its underside. All hydraulic functions operated correctly during the inspection, with no leaks or issues noted. The longer the machine remains in the yard, the greater the corrosion.
